Where we differ

Why owners choose Made For Artist

  • Free to start. Artist FREE is $0 with unlimited bookings, and there is no end date. Nubis Salon starts at $45 a month after a 14-day trial.
  • Your team size is your business. Business is $59 a month however many people you add. Nubis Salon caps bookable staff by plan — 5, 15 or 30 — so growing past a cap means moving up a tier.
  • Deposits and no-show protection on every plan. Both are free on every plan, through your own Helcim account. Neither appears on Nubis Salon’s pricing or feature pages.
  • The waitlist is free. When somebody cancels, we email and alert the people waiting for that slot, on every plan. On Nubis Salon the waitlist starts at $65 a month.

What Nubis Salon does well

  • A real till. A Windows POS with checkout, refunds, taxes and products on the ticket. We record payments and tips against the appointment and can print or email a numbered receipt, but there is no till, no tax line and nothing to sell retail from.
  • Text messages. Email and SMS marketing on their higher plans. We send email and phone alerts only.
  • More than one location. Enterprise includes two locations, with multi-location reporting and per-location pricing. One Made For Artist login runs one shop.
  • Two services at once. They schedule compatible services in parallel, such as a manicure and a pedicure. We add the times together into one appointment.

Questions

Is Made For Artist cheaper than Nubis Salon?

For one person, Artist FREE is $0 and Artist Pro is $29 a month, next to Nubis Salon’s Essential at $45 a month. For a team, Business is $59 a month for any number of staff, while Nubis Salon’s plans allow 5, 15 or 30 bookable staff at $45, $65 and $136 a month (Nubis Salon’s pricing, checked September 17, 2026).

Does Made For Artist have a till for the front desk?

No. You record what a client paid and any tip against their appointment, and the money shows up in your ledger and staff earnings. You can print or email a numbered receipt for any payment. What we do not have is a till with a tax line and retail products on the ticket, which Nubis Salon does.

Can I run two salons on one account?

Not on one login — each shop is its own account with its own page, diary and team. Nubis Salon includes two locations on its Enterprise plan.
